GB Railfreight are currently recruiting an Account Manager to join our Commercial Team reporting directly to the General Manager.
The successful applicant must have the relevant specialist and industry qualifications to undertake the role.
The job holder will be required to optimise the performance and maximise the profitability of a variety of contracts through active liaison with customers, clients and associated suppliers. A key element of the role will be to help build and maintain good relationships with our customers and therefore they must be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.
The post holder will be the key point of contact for customers and will be required to establish a clear point of contact for all issues relating to GBRf’s delivery of its Commercial obligations within the contract and any associated variations. They will ensure any issues are resolved in a timely and appropriate manner.
The successful candidate will manage contracts, ensuring they are fit for purpose and suit the needs of the business. They will also be required to deliver and present annual revenue/return on sales targets for each contract as set out by the General Manager, as well compile regular monthly performance statistics. The role requires a high level of commercial acumen and an understanding of railway operations.
The role also requires the successful candidate to have a clean driving licence.
