    The purpose of the role is to provide administration support to the Operational Facilities Manager. On and off the job training will be provided through a recognised educational body. The candidate will also have the opportunity to work towards further education in facilities services. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to start their career within Facilities Management and gain experience in a varied role.

     

    We are seeking a positive individual who has great communication skills both written and verbal and good attention to detail. Applicants do not require previous railway experience although previous administration experience will be highly desirable.

     

    The successful Apprentice will be supported to complete their NVQ Level 3 qualification in Business Administration.

     

    Responsibilities

    1. Carry out all routine specific duties supporting all GBRf operational facilities
    2. Maintain and own compliance data base within the specific software highlighting any issues
    3. Provide administrative support to Facilities Manager
    4. Assist with Facilities Manager with growing operational sites and ensure they are fit for purpose
    5. Raise the necessary purchase orders and liaise with contractors on a daily basis
    6. Control and replenish consumable stores for all GBRf operational facilities
    7. Willing to travel to various sites within the UK where necessary

    Qualifications

    - Minimum of three GCSE's grade A to C (or equivalent)

    - Competent with Microsoft Office Suite knowledge

    - Excellent time management and organisational Skills

    - Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally

    - Attention to detail

    - Competent typing skills

    - Problem solving skills
