In this role you will cover the Facilities management of operational sites across the UK, helping to shape the way facilities are managed and oversee the day-to-day maintenance of GBRf and customer infrastructure.
You will liaise with 3rd party contractors to ensure work undertaken is carried out in a safe and efficient manner, in line with legislative requirements. You will work closely with stakeholders across the business to deliver innovative solutions to any facility problems.
This role will initially be on a 6-month fixed term contract to support the existing team of Facilities Managers. Previous facilities experience is a must and you must be in close proximity to our Doncaster or Peterborough office where you will be requried to work when not visiting sites.

The Project Engineer at GB Railfreight will support other members within the team and across the business to successfully roll out the European Rail Traffic Management System (ERTMS) within the company.
This role provides an exciting opportunity to play a vital part in the delivery of the Europe ERTMS supporting Siemens and multiple Design Houses to deliver first in class fitment to all classes of our operational fleet.

GB Railfreight are seeking a driven Project manager with a focus on compliance, to take on the role of coordinating the Vehicle / Infrastructure Compatibility Process that meets our obligations under ROGS 2006, as amended, and pertinent Rail Industry Standards. The role involves supporting the business through the development of systems and processes to identify projects, compiling a robust scope, liaising with internal and external stakeholders and holding stakeholders to tight timescales to deliver against business needs and objectives. Building relationships, communication and time management are key for success in this role.
This role will play a vital part in the delivery of ETCS fitted locomotive fleets providing a key link between the design houses and infrastructure managers to ensure that compliant vehicle / infrastructure compatibility is evidenced throughout every stage of the project. The role also offers the opportunity to develop and support other strands of internal engineering change processes ensuring our continued compliance to ROGS 2006, as amended, and supporting ECM certification requirements.

As a Project Management Officer at GB Railfreight you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and implementation of small-scale projects related to the business readiness for ERTMS. The European Rail Traffic Management System (ERTMS) is a single European signalling and speed control system that ensures interoperability of the national railway systems, reducing the purchasing and maintenance costs of the signalling systems as well as increasing the speed of trains, the capacity of infrastructure and the level of safety in rail transport.
Your primary objective will be to deliver operational management solutions for project and performance management, resource management and people development and to ensure that all business units are adequately prepared to embrace and leverage the benefits of ERTMS.
This role requires previous experience in Project Management, ideally gained within the transport industry, exceptional stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to effectively manage change within the organisation.
