    We are currently seeking a new LTP Traincrew Planning Manager (LTP) to work from either our London, Peterborough or Doncaster office on a permanent full-time basis.  

     

    The successful role holder will be responsible for overseeing the Strategic Traincrew Resource plan for approximately 600 safety critical staff.

     

    We are seeking someone with extensive railway planning experince who has a methodical approach to problem solving. You must also have strong analytical and critical thinking skills and be flexible to travel to other GBRf sites if required.

     

    This role will report directly to the Timetable Planning Manager and carries a competitive salary.

    Responsibilities

    The main responsibilities include:

     

    •  Production and publication of an optimal base traincrew diagram which reflectis the current and upcoming business portfolio of GB Railfreight, incorporating any alterations to the timetable or traincrew working terms and conditions.

     

    • Maintainence of the strategic traincrew planning model and assistance in the process of identifying future traincrew resource required.

     

    • To create and maintain a traincrew planning compendium to inform the creation of both long term and short term traincrew diagrams.

     

    • To assist and advise the Operations team on terms and conditions and codes of practice for traincrew

     

    • To create and maintain the individual electronic portfolios of traincrew within the planning software systems, including depot allocation, depot link, individual route knowledge and individual traction knowledge.

     

    • To regularly engage with the Short Term Traincrew Planning team and the Operations Team to ensure continuity between the long term traincrew planning and the week to week traincrew planning and production.

     

    • Where required, to engage with representatives of relevant Trade Unions regarding any issues relating to long traincrew diagrams or rosters.

     

    • Where required, to assist, and provide cover for, the Timetable Planning Manager.

    Qualifications

    • Analytical and critical thinking skills are essential.
    • Advanced IT skills and knowledge of GBRf systems such as Voyager plan and Crewplan
    • Organisation skills -ability to manage multiple (and potentially conflicting) demands and arrive at an optimal solution.
    • Previous Planning experience is required and a good understanding of Traincrew codes of practice.
