    GB Railfreight are currently recruiting a Regional Manager for the Midlands area. Based out of Doncaster, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of a safe, reliable and efficient service to our customers. 

    Responsibilities

    The successful candidate will be responsible for:

    • Delivering all contracted rail services for GBRf customers, ensuring that the plan is safe, robust and reliable.
    • Ensuring GBRf train performance is managed effectively and efficiently.
    • Supporting the Head of Traincrew in the delivery of the KPIs for the Production Team.
    • Supporting the Head of Traincrew in maintaining the cultural and engagement goals of GBRf.
    • Ensuring the delivery of safety, customer service and performance management objectives. 

    Qualifications

    Essential Criteria

    • Personal Track Safety Certificate
    • Previous Operational Railway Management experience
    • Safety Management Qualification (IOSH or equivalent) to include training on undertaking Formal Assessor and Verification Qualification (A1/L12, V1 Verifier, D32/33)

    Experience

    • Train Operations Liaison Officer (TOLO)
    • Accident/Incident Investigation and Report Writing
    • Conflict Management Experience
    • Discipline and Investigation process
    • Working to deadlines while producing detailed work
    • Creating, building and influencing strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
    • Implementing cost saving initiatives and meeting cost efficiency targets
    • Leading Teams towards and achieving objectives

    Knowledge

    • GBRf Operational and Safety Standards
    • GBRf HR Policies including Disciplinary, Capability and Management for Attendance
    • Human Factors Knowledge
    • GBRf Operational Locations and Operations
    • Financial Awareness

    Other Requirements

    • Flexible and willing to travel as required
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
