Sales Manager - Rail Services

A crucial role supporting the delivery of our overall growth plan and significantly building upon our existing multi-million pound Rail Services portfolio as well as developing, designing and seeking out new market opportunities. You will act to ensure GB Railfreight are the first point of call for new and existing rail freight opportunities by building industry trust, expertise and strong relationships. You will ensure that market users trust in our business brand and values, to deliver on their demands and optimise the wider GB Railfreight proposal.
We are a multi million pound Rail Freight business with an ambitious growth plan which aims to see us increase our revenue and standing in the Rail Freight sector over the next 5 years (and beyond).

Experience of business and customer relationship / account development at senior levels and ability to forge strong, deep relationships with internal and external stakeholders and customers.
Track record of building key accounts with customers
Previous experience of working within Transport and/or Logistics consulting. – Previous experience, working as a Railway professional highly desirable.
Experience in producing high quality customer proposals and commercial deals, covering multiple services over longer term contract periods
You will be flexible and willing to travel to customer sites and networking events both internally and externally, therefore a driving license is highly desirable.
