Due to our increasing trajectory of growth here at GB Railfreight, we have an opening for an additional Asset Delivery Assistant to strengthen our team in the control of locomotives and wagons to achieve maintenance requirements, drive fleet efficiency and asset utilisation whilst supporting the commercial fleet requirements of the business. This is a key role for a critical thinking individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and can bring knowledge of the rail freight industry.
The Asset Delivery Assistant will oversee the scheduled maintenance and repair of GBRf Traction and Rolling Stock, liaising as necessary with the Control and Planning departments to ensure that locomotive moves are completed as efficiently as possible and that the day to day and short-term planning arrangements enable the contracted maintainers to achieve timely and cost-effective turn-round of assets.
This role will be based in our Peterborough office with occasional travel to our Doncaster office as and when required. The salary on offer for this role is £44,169 and encompasses a shift allowance. This is a rostered position covering 7 days a week with shifts ranging between the hours 05:30 – 18:30 (05:30 – 13:30/08:30 – 18:30)
