We are currently seeking a Train & Resource Planner to join our Planning Team based in Doncaster. This role plays a critical part in assisting the department with the management of train-crew resources in order to deliver a safe and reliable train service whilst managing traincrew costs on a weekly basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for producing diagrams that are accurate and compliant with rostering codes of practice and will work to weekly deadlines. They will also be required to ensure that that the most efficient plans are adhered to on a week to week basis. In this role, the candidate will help to manage taxi costs on a week to week basis with the aim of delivering cost improvements on a monthly basis.
The working hours for this role is as follows:
Monday 9am to 3pm
Tuesday 9am to 3pm
Wednesday 9am to 5pm
Thursday 9am to 7pm
Friday 9am to 4pm

The Standards Manager is a new role and is key to supporting the busines to eliminate risk and ensuring that GBRf maintain operational compliance in line with internal, group, H&S, Railway and business standards.
You will work closely and support the Head of Standards with ownership, production, updating and continuous improvement to GBRf standards, deputizing at internal stakeholder meetings.
You will engage with the Business Implementation Team to ensure that upcoming and new traffic is compliant with standards and industry best practice, attending regular meetings where applicable.
You will liaise with the Head of Resourcing and Training Manager, to identify the operational training requirements of the business and ensure all elements of governance are in place.

You will work in the Traincrew Planning department, a friendly team, working closely with the roster, operations and Training team, co-ordinating essential and progressive road learning. The role will report into the Planning Manager and will have a hands-on role ensuring the business develops the competency of its traincrew. The role will be fundamental to assist with the growth of GB Railfreight and increasing the efficiency of the rostering process.
The role is based at our Doncaster office.
